What do I need to start a room?

A Windows 10 or 11 PC and our free app, LPT Studio. Under a minute to install and sign up. Open the game, share the link, you're playing together. That's it.

Does it work on Mac, Linux, or Steam Deck?

Your friends can join from any of those — the browser is cross-platform. For hosting, today you need Windows. Mac and Linux Stream Hosts are on our radar — join the Discord to be the first to know.

How many friends can join a room?

Accepted Answer

Depends on the plan: 2 on Free, 4 on Supporter, 6 on Premium. Free plans also have shorter sessions — enough to test-drive before upgrading.

What does it cost?

Free forever to start. Supporter starts at $4.99 USD per 30-day pass — 4 viewers, no time limit on rooms, 1080p at 60fps, and LPT connection servers in Chile, Brazil, and the US. Premium starts at $6.99 USD per 30-day pass — 6 viewers, up to 4K at 60fps. There are also 90-day passes (−10%) and 1-year passes (−20%). No automatic charges: we email you near expiration so you can renew when you want. Local taxes calculated at checkout.

Do my friends pay anything?

Never. Only the Stream Host (you) chooses whether to upgrade. Your friends always join for free — that's the whole point.

Can I play with a real gamepad?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Xbox, PlayStation, generic USB, or Bluetooth — all work. On phones, a virtual joystick appears automatically. Keyboards work too; we map them to controller buttons so nothing gets left out.

Will my favorite game work?

If it runs on your PC, it works. Single-player, couch co-op, fighting games, retro classics, indie gems, RPGs — we share whatever's on your screen. No special per-game integration to wait for.

Is the stream smooth enough for action games?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Supporter delivers 1080p at 60fps up to 20 Mbps — plenty for fighting games, racers, and platformers. Premium goes up to 4K at 60fps, up to 45 Mbps. Our LPT connection servers across LatAm keep latency low where it matters.

Is my room private? Can randoms join?

Accepted Answer

Your room is private by default. Only people with your invite link can knock — and you approve every single one before they enter. You can kick anyone out with one click, or switch who plays versus who just watches.

Can I make my room public?

Accepted Answer

If you want to. Public rooms show up at rooms.letsplaytogether.app so new players can discover them. Stay private if you just want a close-circle game night. Your call, every time.

Can we have a watch-party with movies or shows?

Accepted Answer

Yes — for your own content. Share the screen, drop into voice chat, press play at the same time. It's like being on the same couch, without the travel.

What if my connection hiccups mid-game?

Accepted Answer

Paid plans include our LPT connection servers — they keep the room alive even on tricky networks or flaky Wi-Fi. If something breaks anyway, report it from inside the room. Real humans read every ticket; paid plans go to the front of the queue.

Question 14

Do you have auto-renewing subscriptions? Can I cancel?

Accepted Answer

There's nothing to cancel. Our paid plans are prepaid passes: you pay upfront for a period (30, 90 or 365 days), use it, and at the end your account returns to the Free plan automatically. No automatic renewal, no stored card, no surprise charges, no 'call us to cancel'. If we offer a recurring subscription later, it will be 100% optional and have a visible cancel button — but the prepaid model will always remain available.
